Starting the Year off Right with MORE Travels

If you missed last month's update, find it here: Insert Festive Title Here ______.

We love to bring in the new year, with resolutions and recaps of 2018. Here is our New Years Resolution, and summary of our Most Viewed blog/videos of 2018. We also shared our Best Memories of Twenty-Eighteen and our Best Vegan Food of 2018.  We find these posts help us set goals for the new year and remind ourselves how amazing life can be if you really work towards your dreams. We hope that you can use these posts for inspiration on planning your own travels and living as your best self.

As part of our new year's resolution "30-Day Challenges", This month we pulled "Take at Least a 30-Minute Walk Everyday" We have been walking ourselves to a healthier heart. While not every day was as beautiful as this, we have been managing to get outside every day.

Our first meal out for the year, we went to Pho Tin Tin. We had heard a lot about the veggie pho and summer rolls so we just had to try. They have confirmed that the veggie pho was already vegan and so that is what we ordered. Unfortunately, we found out the next day that the veggie ham in the soup has whey in it. So if you ever order the veggie pho, get it without the ham. The summer rolls were a very delicious starter.

I went on a girls trip to Victoria. It was a lovely sunny day, perfect for a day trip. We went to the Royal BC Museum as it is by donation on Mondays. I have been before, but I didn't remember half of the stuff I was looking at this time.
Afterwards, we went to Be Love for some lunch. I got the Mac and Cheeze as always. We then walked around the city looking in shops and stopping in Green Cusine for more sweets. I got a berry cheezecake for the one who was left at home for the day. We then hit up the delicious cupcake place in Uptown mall. Yum, this chocolate and vanilla cupcake is delicious.

The next morning, we woke up to snow... WHAT?! Isn't it supposed to be spring here on Vancouver Island? We don't get winter here!

This month our vegan guide is for West Midlands We had a great time in the West Midlands this summer checking out the sights and eating at a few different vegan restaurants. (Remember we share a new Vegan Guide the second Sunday of every month).

For our first trip of the year, we flew on down to Las Vegas for Veganuary again. We even took a bus tour to Hoover Dam, a first for us. We have now been to Arizona! We had a great trip.

We added posts about our Summer in the UK to our Travel Diary blog:  See the newest posts on our trip:  Oxford City Walk and Happy Friday Kitchen for Lunch, and Our Last GORGE in England: Food, Food, Food.

For our travel tips this month we shared 10 Reasons to Love the United Kingdom. We hope this post gives you the motivation to visit this lovely country.

For the remainder of the month, we caught up on some blogging, did some working and dealt with some things going on in our personal lives. We focused our energy on our walking challenge and daily yoga.

For our new spotlight series Easy Meal Ideas, we continued on with the theme of breakfast. This month we share our "Breakfast Smoothie"  The food choices we make are influenced by trying to save money and also wanting to eat healthier. We don't always succeed but we try our best.

To see what we get up to next month, check out our post: Well, We sure did get a lot of Snow
